Freshman Year of Writing

I was new to high school writing this year, and had no idea that I would need to do a lot of writing each year of school. The concept of a portfolio was something that I had never heard before. When I did find out how much we would have to that, I was very annoyed. I didn't like writing that much, because I knew it meant writing about something probably boring that would take a long time. But then I found out that we could write about what wanted, and it didn't seem so bad.

With this new freedom of choosing my topic, I mostly wrote about experiences that happened to me. An example of this is the piece I've included in this blog.
